My High Ropes Experience

My High Ropes Experience
It was my second day at camp. We passed the wooden bridge. We were on our way to high ropes.
My heart ❤️ was bursting with excitement. We arrived at the 30 feet high playground.

Safety first! We put our helmets and harnesses on. Graham (A Wainui camp helper) checked our helmets and harnesses to make sure their tight.

When I cast my eyes on the obstacles, I felt like I was an ant. I felt a bang in my legs they were shaking. It was my turn to do the giant ladder. I put my foot on the first plank of wood. I pull myself up. I felt like I was a fat cat trying to climb a tree. When I got up to the 4th or 5th plank of wood, I had a feeling that I was going to fall, like there was a bee in my mind telling me
“You're going to fall”.
“Can I go down” I mumbled.
When they (the belayer) were putting me down I was very proud of myself that I got that far.

We tried another obstacle. I gazed at it for a moment, this looks harder. I got up the rope ladder. Then I was doing the climbing wall “uhhh uggh” I couldn't reach the other plank. I told them (the belayer) that I wanted to get down.

After high ropes my heart was filled with happiness. I skipped back to camp with a big smile stuck on my face.

  1. I love the part where you say "My heart ❤️ burst with excitement." because it stands out because you have out something colourful in the sentence. I also like that you used the word burst. I love the ending part where you say that you went back with a big smile stuck to your face because it is big and it isn't on your face it is stuck to your face.
